This is how I got into Jason Mraz:
Wow...how did I get into Jason? Well, if any person reading this has ever been to the Gorge in Washington, then you most positively would agree with me that any performance there is bound to leave some imprint upon you- Indeed this was true. I'd have to say it was the right place at the right time~ I've never really been interested in the "pop" music style. Watching people dance and look hott rather then focus on their actual singing talent has never been a fancy of mine. But Jason on the other hand is pure talent, splendid *(which is nothing you don't already know). If someone can write their own songs and strum their own cords then they deserve full respect from me. -But as to continue on~..Jason was 1 of roughly 15 other bands and solo artists who performed at the Gorge in early May. Seeing Jason was by far the best performance that entire night- I was hooked. As weeks carried on, I discovered that he would be performing in Portland, Oregon. Living in WA, I figured I would seize this opportunity to see him in a full concert (as opposed to performing only 4 songs). My friend and I bought 2 tickets and drove down to an entirely different state, to see him (and *Toca* of course), perform. It was an experience unlike any other. Given that we had front row seats (I suppose standing next to the stage is considered front row seats), we knew at that moment that he was simply amazing~ nothing less.
Additionally, I'd like to mention to other fans:
I'd just have to say...don't take all that you know and use it against people. That is, don't argue and fuss over who's the "biggest fan" or "who knows the most" because what difference does it make if you know his birthday? Or where he was born? In the end, it doesn't matter...he's still the same guy everyone wants to marry. So just be happy for the tunes he provides for us, to enjoy and brighten our sad days,~whether or not you listen to it on the 8-track player with the adapter in your old beater, or if you bring your portable CD player everywhere with you just to listen to his brilliant voice~... and most of all, remember that the remedy for all your troubles is to simply take your time.
*¡Jason rocks my socks man!*
