Jason Mraz had been playing in the San Diego music scene in Southern California for a few years when I started this site. You may have been lucky enough to see him play with Carlos Olmeda and/or Toca Rivera and with other acts in San Diego. His regular gig was always at Java Joes in San Diego on Thursday Nights and for a while at the The Coffee House on Sunset in Los Angeles on Tuesday nights (it's shut down now). He signed with Elektra Records early in 2002 and released Waiting For My Rocket To Come in October, 2002. You can check out his biography at his official web site.
