This is how I got into Evanescence:
Heard My Immortal one day when my nieces were watching MTV in the next room. Came in to see, and was struck, not just by the haunting quality of the song itsself, but by how much Amy reminded me of someone I lost many years ago.
Additionally, I'd like to mention to other fans:
The salesgirl at Target raised her eyebrows at me when I bought Anywhere But Home for myself last week. I was 'tres amused! Do you suppose I might be the oldest signer of the yearbook?
