This is how I got into Evanescence:
Her voice cut through my darkness like an icey blade tearing the velvet curtains apart as the ephereal light of her soul illuminated the sorrow around me. Thus realising the true identity of my grief I gave it a good kicking and focused on better things.

I got into Evanescence when I first bought the album 'Fallen'. Usually I don't go for the 'pseudo' Goth album but I picked up the headphones in HMV and had a quick listen. I am now hooked on every audible note that drips from Amy's mouth. Her voice is likened to the old Irish beast 'The Banshee' which was a female who would lure men to their doom via their vocal range. In other words I love Amy Lee, I love Evanescence, and I would love to be her Tourniquet <nudge nudge>

Additionally, I'd like to mention to other fans:
A message to the fans? Yeah.... Stop buying the album! If you continue to make them Mega stars they won't play the small venues in the UK and I'll have to queue up outside Wembley with kids looking like some sad Uncle or a very tall, and rather rugged teenager who skipped the puberty and went straight onto man(ness)?
