This is how I got into Evanescence:
I loved thier music as i also got into linkin park and bon jovi. The first song i liked by Evanscene was Bring Me to Life. How i got into Evanscene and rock was from thinking about certain video games and anime in the dark parts such as Jak II and Dragonball Z
Additionally, I'd like to mention to other fans:
Any other fan who likes hard rock should listen to other artists like Evenscene, some other good artists are Linkin Park and Bon Jovi
