This is how I got into Evanescence:
The first time i heard Evanescence, I was talking to my boyfriend on the phone and he mentioned a song he liked off the DareDevil soundrack. He let me listen to 'Bring Me to Life' and I thought the song was awesome. I was captivated by Amy's voice and the lyrics were amazing, but I admit I was a bit skeptical.. I'm often dissapointed by sountracks because the song is usally the best song the band has. I borrowed 'Fallen' from a friend because I figured a song that good was worth checking out. The whole CD is amazing. Evanescence is now my favorite band and I love every song on the CD. All of thier songs have a real meaning and touch some things that are avoided my alot of people. I can relate to many of the songs on the CD, and it's great that the songs they perform aren't sugar coated or covered up like the lyrics to 'Tourniquet'.
