This is how I got into Evanescence:
I was getting really sick of all bands sounding the same. There was a point in time when I didn't listen to the radio and basically refused to hunt for music as I usually did. Then one day I was surfing channels on my stupid TV and I saw the video clip for "Bring Me To Life". I fell in love with them instantly, and when I bought their album I had shivers of excitment permanently etched on my body. They're so inspiring and i owe (some of) my songwriting skills to them all.

Additionally, I'd like to mention to other fans:
No, not really. Hahaha, just- what's with the whole "Evanescence is widely recognised, therefore they must be mainstream crap" ? They're awesome.
