This is how I got into Evanescence:
Evanescence has the only female singer that I like and respect. I heard the song "My Immortal" on 93.3 in Colorado and I looked up the video. Normally I hate bands with female singers becaise I gave up singing myself but I respect her for what she says in her lyrics.

Additionally, I'd like to mention to other fans:
Don't end up like me. If people say you have a beautiful voice, don't give it up, pursue it.
