This is how I got into Jason Mraz:
I first saw him perform when he last-minute pinch-hit as the opening act for the Moxy Fruvous show at Vynyl in Los Angeles on May 24, 2000. (My birthday!)
After the show, Jason came over to wish me a happy birthday (the tiara I was wearing must have caught his attention). He sold my sister one of the five demo CDs he had brought with him, and she gave it to me as a present. He autographed it for me, and I got a hug.
He now has a standing invitation to crash on my couch anytime he's in the neighborhood and has need of lodging (and I promise to make sure I have fresh cream in the house next time).
