My Jewel Story:
OK... so sometime in 1996 I'm listening to the radio and this really cool, kinda jazzy sounding song comes on... "People living their lives for you on TV, they say they're better than you and you agree..." What an awesome song!!! it reminded me of that song "Fever" that Peggy Lee did back in the 50's that's been covered by just about everyone... then it gets to all that scatting and stuff at the end... Wow!!! this chick can *really* sing!!! so after hearing it a few more times I go out and get the single - expecting her to be another one-hit wonder... so I throw it on and give it a listen... WWSYS sounds even better on CD, track two is "Pieces Of You"... pretty good... but track three, "Emily", really blows me away... I'm like "and this is a B-side???" so a few days later I buy the album, hit the play button and the rest, as they say, is history!!! :-)
