My Jewel Story:
Jewel is almost unknown here in Germany. I never heard her name before, but one day I got Melissa Etheridge tapes with "Duets". So I listened and thought: 'Well, quite good, maybe I can get more of her.' I went to a record store and found a copy of POY but left without buying it! It seemed to to me just an average new artist.
Several weeks later I went to the store again for no special reason, saw the CD, bought it (I don't know why) and listened to it once, twice......
