Falling Tides
You are the wave of my heart Sometimes crashing Always returning Sometimes hitting my soul so hard, You make pebbles leap! As soon as I gain courage To dip my toes in Your icy blue The tide falls, And you sink further Than before (Ironic to fear getting burned by something so cold) I wish to undress and bathe In you But you're impossible to grasp So I return to shore Clenching my palms I play with shells and driftwood Things to pass neverending time Things that are miniscule In comparison to your volume. And one day the tide returns. I smile and wipe the tears That have accumulated under my Lashes I reach for the liquid that Surrounds my feet Causing them to sink further And further Into your sand of entrapment But again you drift away. Will I someday realize, I can climb Mountains Or swim the length of lakes? Yes. But for now this is All I Know.
Entirety
Do not merely behold my flesh, But my entirety. Do not let my words pass by as mere words But hear the meaning in my voice. My voice is an expression of My soul singing
