Lies
The night has an arm, there to hold you close We sit cheek to cheek, you touch my nose In the air, my heart's aflame Then I realize I don't know your name With a rational mind, I can't disguise All these sights are but mere lies
The Broken Band
He wandered around aimlessly for hours. His only companion a broken wedding band He wasn't sure where to go and frankly didn't care He only knew he had to get there very soon His feet led him down a quiet alley aside the main street His hands worked about the break in the band Nothing in his world seemed real Or was that only what he hoped for His thoughts were a void Only a voice existed, "Can't Stop."
