This was a fantastic addition to the album, and in my opinion, this makes for a much better closing song for the album than "Maya" did on the original independant version. As a closing song, it gives a Toad feel to the album in the spirit of "I will not take these things for granted", "Reincarnation Song", or "All She Said". This song was also a relief to here, as it is driven by a solo acoustic guitar, much like Glen's solo act. Much of the rest of the album is a bit of a departure from his solo work, since the acoustic guitar seems toned down, and the album is much more driven by simple drum beats. While Abulum creates a wonderful feel and consistency, it was nice to end with this song. And a beautiful song it is. |
