Hi, I agree it's the heaviest song on the CD...which makes it stand out from the others. The lyrics almost call for a little tension in the music...it has been arranged prefectly for the mood...it's a very clostrophobic song and one of my personal favorites. Glen is one of only three writers that I turn to when I can't seem to figure out how to put into words what I'm thinking inside. John Hiatt and Paul Westerberg are the other two. |

Did you ever notice that on Toad's albums they would have a much harder song than the rest of them. Fear - Stories I Tell Dulcinea - Listen Coil - Amnesia you get my point. any way i believe that this is his hard song for the album. Lots of guitar effects and some effects on the mic. I believe it is just about the burden of responsibilities in life that keep building up. |
