Thoughtless is a cover song, originally done by the band Korn. Evanescence add a piano intro into the hard rock song. Amy Lee's voice hits the notes of the song so well that you would think that it is an Evanescence song. Comparing the 2 versions of the song, I would have to say that I like Evanescence's version better than Korn's. This version is faster lyric wise and has a softer edge to it. The one by Korn is more hardcore and less emotional. Amy can take any song and add her own touch to it. As long as she is singing it, it adds emotion and depth. |
