The first time i ever heard this song was the day we found out a girl in our school had got killed the night before in a car/train wreck... it as unbelievable because the gates never went down. our whole school barely talked that day, and i remember sitting with my friend during first hour waiting for her dad to pick her up becasue she was so upset. All the words seemed to go with what happened. Our school is next to an elementary and we were lookin at the playground as we sat in the rain waiting. Nobody wanted to believe that she was dead, some even denied it and didn't believe, but it finaly sank in that she was dead and it wasn't her fault. whenever i hear this song it reminds me of her, and makes me want to cry... its just soo beautiful and Amy Lee is a very talented singer.

My class just graduated without one of my best friends who didn't make it. She was killed in a car accident this year. The part where you sing "has no one told you she's not breathing"  meant something special to me because my friend would always give me a ride home  after school and I remember the last thing I said to her was "cya monday" and then some one told me that next monday that she had been in a car accident the night before. Your song has really helped me through this.

I agree with Kendra. This song is about Amy's little sister. I know exactly how Amy Feels. I have lost 3 siblings due to health problems. No Joke. I have also lost friends. This song made me cry. I cannot compare this song to any song i have heard in my life. i absoulutuley adore the cello solo as i play cello myself. the lyrics touch a part of me i didn't even know i had. thank you for all there and Amy, if you are reading this (which i highly doubt you are) You and Evanescence have become one of the most influencial parts of my lif.  thank you for all that you have done.

I just want to say that all of the people that are saying stuff about this song need to know what this song is truly about. This is the song with the deepest meaning for Amy Lee. It's about her little sister that passed away when Amy was 6. The little girl was only 3 years old. You can tell that that's what it's about hence *has no one told you she's not breathing* and *hello, I'm still here, ALL THAT'S LEFT OF YESTERDAY*. So please have respect for this song, it has real meaning and it's a beautifully written song. I have also had similar experiences. If you have, I'm open for a talk. My email is kissmyass1785@yahoo.com {really, it is lol}.
