I first heard "Hello" when I was listening to Fallen and just listening to all the songs on it to see which oned I liked. When I got to number 9, I listened to it all and immidiately fell totally in love with it. I'm obsessed with it now, ask anyone who knows me. I think "Hello" is totally the best song Evanescence has ever written for sure!

I heard this for the first time halfway down the A1 on the way home after a week away from my wife. what can I say - pulled into layby, stopped car, fell apart, had cigarette, drove for next 100 miles playing song over and over again!!
Surely, someone else can write lyrics this powerful or is it all up to Amy!!

I think that just like in 'My Immortal,' Amy went all out for this song and really looked deep inside to find it. When I heard this song, I had tears in my eyes from the first note. It just put me 'in the zone' in that trance where all reality around you vanishes and you and the song become one. I know that happened with me and I sure as Hell know that I'm not alone on this one.
Whoever hears this song should forget about the sorrow and any first person scenarios they may have. Such as thinking that Amy wrote 'Hello' in first person view. That's bullshit. Really listen to it, and you'll see. She's not talking about herself. She's telling a story.

Hello Is a really sad song, whenever i hear it, it makes me wanna stop and listen to it, It's like you need to talk low and listen attentively if you are really into the whole 'trance' state where you really bring the music and words into Your heart and let it flow out of your body. Thats the kind of feeling i get whenever I hear it...But this song is great...Bye =D

It's so overpowering you can't help but feel the pain and sorrow in her voice as she sings the lyrics.. I didn't know it was for her sister..makes more sense now to me..but i love it so much..almost evey time i hear it i want to cry, it's that amazing. For a while i thought it reminded me of my life but now i know that its more than a selfish mettaphore but a heartbeaking expression of self and emotions that they are trying to convay through amy's morningful voice and the band's haunting and depressing music..its beautiful..................................
i always did think it fit the role of something you would play at a furneral....
