Hey ange and Candice, wusuh!!!!!?? What's going on?? Me well um not much. I did get back up with Pablo, but I don't think anyone is happy about that:( His friends is dissin me- big time!!!!!But I don't really care. If they come up to me, I'm not gonna be able to do shit, and I can't get mad, you know why ANGE! See if they do, I don't know what I'm gonna do, Ange I hope you got my back. This song really touched me, but not in the way that Evanescense's other songs touched me. This sort of woke up a spiritual realization inside of me. I think once it actually brought tears to my eyes. I'm a Christian, and some people might frown upon the idea that I listen to punk or gothic rock and all that. And I had never heard this type of group sing about God before...Satan, yes, but God never. But I listened to this song and it just opened my mind. As best as I can put it, this person in Tourniquet is at their wit's end...and so they commit suicide, seeing that as their only way out. I think most people look at the song in this viewpoint. But I look at it another way: This person is at their wit's end, and they commit suicide, yes but -- they ask God to deliver them. That one point makes all the difference. You've heard the phrase "It's never too late". Well, even as this person is bleeding to death and almost gone, he/she is being delivered. You see, as long as a person will confess their sins and let Jesus into their hearts, it doesn't matter. But if you wait til you're being judged in the afterlife, you're much too late. But I'm sure this person (if they were real) would have repented, and gone to heaven. But the things that really touched me are: that someone singing in gothic-style would sing about God and Christ in an excellent light, not mocking them. The other thing is that this song made me realize how far I was drifting away from Jesus...and what might have happened to me if I kept drifting. It sort of scared me back into righteousness. A question I'd like to ask Evanescence if I ever met them would be if any of them were Christians...and if they were, it would mean the world to me, because they are one of my favorite (if not the favorite) bands. |
